LSMS works in conjunction with the Florida and American Medical Associations to inform Legislators at the state and national level on key legislative issues that impact physicians and their patients. Conversely, the FMA alerts the medical society when important legislation requires the combined support and efforts of all physicians practicing in Florida. This reciprocal arrangement has proven to be a winning and effective combination.
